Product Description:
At long last, The Drake Bridge finally offers a conservative, esthetic solution to the single anterior tooth replacement dilemma. Unlike metal supported resin bonded bridges, the abutment teeth are not discolored from the tooth colored CAD/CAM developed Zirconia retainers. The bond strength between the The Drake Bridge zirconia retainers and intra-enamel prepared tooth structure is increased by 25% compared to other zirconia retainers. This is due to our proprietary surface preparation.
ADA Insurance Codes: Two Ceramic Wing Retainers - D6548 / Ceramic Pontic - D6245
Product Indications: The Drake Bridge is ideal for the conservative replacement of single maxillary or 2 adjacent mandibular incisors when an implant is contra-indicated or rejected by the patient.
Product Contra-Indications: Cases involving deep class II or tight occlusion, bruxism or poor posterior support provide a potentially limited prognosis.
Recommended Preparation Type:
Preparation is minimal unless an open anterior bite is present. Reduction is limited to the lingual (0.5 mm.) with parallel boxes in the Interproximal wall adjacent to the edentulous area being restored. The preparation should cover as much of the lingual surface as possible, terminating 1 mm. from the incisal edge. *see diagram below*
Recommended Shade Guide:
Vita Classic, Vita 3-D and Ivoclar Chromascope
Recommended Adhesive Technique: The retainer wings are prepared in the laboratory with a Drake proprietary technique. After try-in and adjustments, clean the retainers, silinate and bond to acid etched enamel with bonding agents and resin based cement or auto cure resin of choice. Light cure only resins are contra-indicated due to density of zirconia retainers.
Benefits for the Doctor: Conservative & Minimally Invasive Technique, Improved Esthetics, Bio-compatibility over Metal Supported Resin Bonded Bridges, Improved Framework, Bond Strength Over Previously Available, Non-metal Resin Bonded Bridges.
